LEAH AND GERSHON PRESS HOLOCAUST FOUNDATION

In 2003, Dr. Shirley Press founded the Leah and Gershon Press Holocaust Survivor Program under the auspices of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation.  The purpose of the foundation is to help Holocaust survivors in need.  Dr. Press named the foundation in honor of her parents both of whom were Holocaust survivors. To donate, please email Shirley at  spress0602@aol.com

U.S. HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL MUSEUM ARCHIVES

An archivist at heart, Dr. Shirley Press has painstakingly collected and catalogued her parents’ historical photos from the Holocaust.  She has submitted her parents’ biographies and collection of family photos to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives.  This is an ongoing project for Dr. Press.

LISTS

List making is another of Dr. Press’ hobbies.  Her choice of list topics leans towards lighthearted subjects. Below are links to a few lists that are currently in progress.  A more complete collection of Dr. Press’ lists are documented in her memoir – Pressing My Luck.
